You're welcome! I looked at the paint program you use, and on amazon it says it's $1,800! Did you pay that much?!
I didn't pay that much but it is indeed a very expensive program. Different versions will have different price tags but the software in general is going to be a large investment if it's something you're interested in. A full version of PS will probably run you at least $400, possibly more depending on what suite you buy and where you get it. If you want to try to spend a little less, you can buy a monthly subscription to PS, though this probably would be best for trying it out instead of as a longterm option. (I think PS also still offers a free month long trial.) You could also check out PS Elements which is a less expensive version that gives you the basics but not necessarily all the "bells and whistles" of the program. If you're an absolute newbie to digital art, I'd suggest checking out something like Gimp instead of PS to start out and get your feet wet. You can download it for free.
Hope that helps.
Hope that helps.

We want one of her as well :3.
I am still stunned at how amazing this is, We have the picture hanging up on our wall currently. I love waking up and seeing it in the mornings, worth all the money in the world I would totally do it over again .
That's awesome! Congratulations on adopting another kitty. And yeah, definitely let me know next year when/if you'd like to do another portrait. I'm glad you're still enjoying this one.
What program do you use?
And which brush??
I wish i could get photoshop, but its too expensive.
Do you have any recommendation for gimp? Like which brush to use to do similar thing?
No problem. Yeah, that's one drawback to PS. I love it but it's a big chunk of change to lay down.
I don't have much experience with Gimp. But since I use a plain round brush that comes with the program in PS (not a custom/downloaded one), I don't see why a round brush in gimp wouldn't work just as well.
