I loved the freckles on the original drawing so I was sure to add them.

The hair, as it always does in your sketchs, looks amazing! I love how you've interpreted her features, it gives her face a much more unique look than I'd previously imagined and looks much more realistic. I keep going back to the nose and eyebrows, they look particually real. Her freckles look so cool, and her eyes....wow. There's just something about them that stands out...

(Just of of curiousity, how many layers do you generally work with? And how long does a digital sketch like this usually take?)
The number of layers I work with varies a lot depending on the painting and the level of detail. For something like this, I'd use just a few. For a more complex painting where I do a lot of textures and rendering effects, I would use more. But for the most part, I like to keep things simple and flatten whenever I can.
A semi-realistic black and white sketch usually takes me under an hour but can vary.
