Les Miserables 2012 Stamp by ThreshTheSky Les Miserables 2012 Stamp by ThreshTheSky
The new promotional posters for the 2012 film adaptation of the musical Les Miserables were so awesome that I decided to use them to try my hand at stamp making.

Please do not use or post this stamp outside of deviantArt unless it links back to either my home page or this deviation's page. Favorites, comments, etc. are not necessary to use this stamp on your dA page, journal, or deviation descriptions but are very much appreciated.

The vast majority of what I do is not stamps:

Javert, Fantine, Valjean, Cosette, and Les Miserables belong to their respective owners. The promotional posters used to make this stamp are available here. The stamp frame used to make this is available here. The edges on this stamp aren't perfect. But after creating almost eighty layers individually, I decided to just let it go.

I'm STILL upset that I'd didn't see this on the big screen while it was out! :(

Instead I ended up choosing to go see The Hobbit for a second time for my birthday and went to see Jack Reacher when the theater the newspaper SAID was playing Les MisÚrables when it wasn't......

It was nice to have been to this movie in a theater, though that was mostly to hear the score and vocals larger-than-life and in stereo. As for "seeing" it, I don't think you missed much. It's a beautiful looking movie, don't get me wrong. But it's not heavy enough on stunning visuals or effects to make that much of a difference. So I wouldn't worry about it. If you really want to avoid missing an amazing opportunity, be sure to go see it live on stage if you ever get the chance. It's well worth it and makes the film pale in comparison. :)

I do indeed hope to see the musical on stage soon one day, EVEN if it's just a small theater production (Though a PROFESSIONAL performance would be more preferable)

I saw the film on Blu-Ray when I rented it and hope to buy it along with the 10th anniversary concert DVD

As for me being a new Les Mis' fan, I'm going to start reading Victor Hugo's original novel starting tonight ^^
