I just can't believe that you really DRAW it!
It's soooo real and beautiful!
Although I was not pleased with the way the casting occurred for Katniss (Only Caucasian actresses were called for), Jennifer Lawrence is beautiful in an earthy, natural way and you really captured that here in her eyes and hair. This is gorgeous. I just wish she looked like Katniss- Katniss was described to have olive skin, black hair, and gray eyes.
Still an awesome piece of art though!
As for the casting for the movie, you're preaching to the choir. I wasn't even familiar with the books when I heard about the movie's casting. But it angered me all the same. Hollywood pulls this kind of whitewashing crap all the time. While I love Jennifer Lawrence and thought she did a great job in the role, there are probably hundreds of young actresses of varying ethnicities that would have been amazing as Katniss too. It's a shame that most of them will never get the opportunities that they should just because significant roles for people of color are so few and far between.
I love Jennifer Lawrence... and although I enjoyed her portrayal of Katniss, she isn't really MY Katniss. I still enjoy watching the movies though, just seeing the rest of the book come to life is fun.
