I've received an influx of notes in the last week or so for requests and art trades. While I'd never discourage anyone from sending me a note about anything (even a "1" next to the envelope icon gets me pathetically excited), I thought I'd layout the policies I've had to come up with in recent days for the sake of convenience:
- While I never announced them as "open" to begin with, I'm closing requests and art trades unless I know you pretty well as a deviant. By that I mean that we first made contact at least a few weeks ago, we watch each other, have had regular correspondence via comments, etc.
-I'm opening commissions, both point and Paypal. Send me a note if you're interested.
-While I can't guarantee that I'll do it, I'm of course always open to ideas for paintings and drawings. If I end up using your suggestion, I'll credit and link to you in the description of the finished piece.
I really want to stress that I in no way resent inquiries. Nor do I want this to come off as self important. It's just come to the point rather suddenly where I'm having to turn down a lot of requests that I just can't afford to do. Not to mention that repeatedly writing responses essentially saying "no" is making me feel like a big ol' meanie.
Thanks!

cat contest/win a commission from me
Hey all,
We're living in scary times and I hope this journal finds everyone doing as well as they can be. If you're lucky enough to be able to isolate at home and are looking for something to do, check out Lintu47 (https://www.deviantart.com/lintu47)'s contest for cat art.
The prize pack for the first place winner includes a year of Core Membership, llamas, features, thousands of points from various donors, and a free sketch portrait of your cat or dog from me like this:
The prize packs for second and third place are also really fantastic and worth checking out.
Take care, everybody.
copyright strikes
Hey all,
I know I haven’t posted in a while but this is important. I just got multiple DMCA takedown notices for some of my fan art. This is the first time I’ve encountered this issue but I have received six notices all at once. Since the notes I got say that,”
“Three strikes involving claims against you with respect to copyright infringement will result in an indefinite ban on your account and will block all of your content from being viewed by others.”
…My account may already doomed. I’m doing what I can to figure this out.
I make a good chunk of income as a commission artist from dA so losing m
holiday commission sale [closed]
Hey everyone,
It's not lost on me that the last journal post I made was actually the one announcing last year's sale. It's been that long. It's been a rough year for me health-wise but I'm determined to keep with tradition and hold this sale. The catch this year is that these are very unlikely to be finished before Christmas. If you're still interested,

UPDATE 2/10/17: Round 1 and Round 2 of reserved slots are all complete and sent out. Thanks!
It's time once again for my annual commission sale. It's open and accepting slot reservations and you don't even need to risk getting trampled at Walmart to participate.
